LBA Realty is a full-service real estate investment and management firm with a diverse office and industrial portfolio across Texas, Chicago, New Jersey and New York. At its 1.8 million sq. ft. Park Place campus in Irvine, Calif., the company—already LEED Gold and ENERGY STAR Premier certified—sought additional ways to boost energy efficiency, balance the grid during peak periods and lower tenant costs without compromising comfort.

In 2015 LBA implemented Yardi LOBOS EE (at no additional hardware cost), an intelligent HVAC optimization platform that adjusts set points every 60 seconds based on occupancy, weather and building conditions and works alongside an existing LOBOS DR demand-response system. The deployment delivered significant results—over 4.4 million kWh in annual energy savings and 1.4 MW of demand-response capacity—helping realize LBA’s vision of “intelligent buildings.”
