Cole Haan uses Yapp to connect, inspire, and engage employees

Cole Haan, the global lifestyle brand, needed a better way to engage and train its distributed retail field team after a 2013 rebrand—sharing styling guidance, onboarding new managers, and keeping store teams aligned with new marketing initiatives. To solve this, Cole Haan adopted Yapp’s private social networking and mobile app platform to create training, team communication, and event apps that let managers share photos, styling tips, schedules, and recognition across stores.

Yapp built a suite of apps (event, team communication, onboarding and more) that connected staff year‑round and centralized brand and training content; the program has produced 7 apps, 1,300+ installs, 1,000+ employees engaged and 2,440+ in‑app interactions. By using Yapp, Cole Haan improved employee engagement, streamlined onboarding and conference logistics, boosted internal marketing and peer recognition, and helped sustain the brand culture in the field.
