Case Study: Nuremberg Institute of Technology streamlines student film production with Yamdu

A Yamdu Case Study

Preview of the Nuremberg Institute of Technology Case Study

We spoke to teachers and students at the prestigious Nuremberg Institute of Technology to find out how they use Yamdu to improve their workflows

The Nuremberg Institute of Technology, an elite university for film, animation, digital image design, and VFX, needed a way to keep student film projects running smoothly when the COVID-19 pandemic forced teaching and collaboration online. Before using Yamdu, the team relied on disconnected tools and in-person reviews, which made it difficult to manage files, feedback, versions, and absent students across many projects.

Yamdu provided a centralized, cloud-based production workspace with project templates, file sharing, storyboard and shot list tools, Gantt scheduling, and controlled access for students, teachers, and external collaborators. The university says the platform made coordination much faster and more structured, and Jürgen Schopper reported that he could set up the complete workflow for 14 teams and over 60 students in just 3 hours. The result was smoother collaboration, faster feedback, and a workflow the faculty now uses as a standard part of teaching.
