Foremost Public Sector Authority, a UK public sector organization, needed to gather daily pricing data from more than 20,000 store outlets across the country to calculate the consumer price index. Their existing manual extraction and integration process was costly, time-consuming, prone to human error, and struggled to keep up with rapidly changing prices and anomaly detection requirements.

Xtract.io implemented site-specific custom bots using Perl, Python, and Selenium-based browser automation to extract, deduplicate, and validate pricing data from retail sites. The solution included ML-based anomaly detection plus manual random sampling checks, delivering more than 1 million records per day with over 98% accuracy, real-time updates, and a reduction in time spent on data gathering by two-thirds.
