Nando’s NZ streamlines the AP process to improve efficiency, visibility and control

Nando’s New Zealand wanted greater control and visibility over its accounts payable process as the business grew, especially after bringing AP in-house for its corporate restaurants. To reduce manual work and improve store-level expense tracking, Nando’s looked for a way to automate invoice data capture into its accounting system, using Xtracta’s document extraction technology.

Xtracta implemented an automated AP workflow that maps invoices to individual restaurant codes and supplier account codes, then pushes the data and PDF copies into Nando’s accounting software. The result was a paperless, more efficient process with less manual data entry, faster invoice handling, and better visibility and control over expenses down to store level; Nando’s said the team now processes up to 1,000 invoices a month more efficiently and can focus on higher-value work.
