Global Pharmaceutical Corporation, a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company with more than 90,000 employees and over $50 billion in revenue, needed to better manage inventory at one of its major research facilities. With more than 30,000 unique SKUs and inventory value growing about 17% per year, the MRO team wanted to reduce storage growth, set accurate ordering levels, and lower the risk of stockouts. Xtivity was brought in to help address these challenges with its inventory optimization software, Pulse.

Xtivity implemented Pulse, a hosted SaaS tool that analyzes transactional data to calculate optimal order points, order quantities, and lead times across the MRO inventory. The program delivered a 10% reduction in moving inventory value, or about $1 million, in 12 months, while achieving zero stockouts and 99% availability. Xtivity also helped increase inventory turns by 60% and reduced the time needed to review 31,000 SKUs to just 2 hours per month.
