PDC Energy, Inc. engaged XTIVIA to solve slow, manual and unreliable information flows that left the nascent IT organization without BI resources, standards, or trustworthy profit-and-loss metrics for wells and routes. XTIVIA was hired to provide a data governance and business intelligence strategy and services, using technologies such as SSIS, SQL Server, SSRS and Targit to address people, process and technology gaps.

XTIVIA performed a BI assessment and roadmap and delivered a phased program—standing up SDLC support, rolling out well-level P&L and land-operations analytics, and building data integration and master-data capabilities—while providing ongoing production support. The XTIVIA solution standardized practices, produced accurate and consistent profit/loss reporting across operational levels, improved staff efficiency, and delivered key projects in 3–6 month cycles with activities continuing for over a year.
