Healthcare Company - Customer Case Study

The Client is a large healthcare system operating 18 acute care hospitals, outpatient facilities and affiliated services that needed to integrate clinical and revenue systems to provide a single, accurate electronic patient record. Facing many point-to-point HL7 interfaces with inconsistent business logic, varying message volumes, and no centralized exception handling or auditing, The Client engaged XTIVIA for an SOA implementation and HL7 integration solution.

XTIVIA delivered an event-driven, SOA/BPM integration using a Common Information Model (CIM), decoupled HL7 transaction processing, and an ESB with common services for error handling and auditing. XTIVIA’s solution enabled one‑to‑many real‑time information exchange, synchronized billing with patient services, a consistent unified patient record across business units, real‑time updates, and a reusable, extensible architecture that integrated disparate systems.
