GLOBAL RETAILER, a global shoe retailer operating over 4,800 stores across the Americas, needed to route eCommerce orders to a new distribution center and support future scenarios like multi-DC fulfillment and split e-commerce operations. The client faced a heterogeneous technical landscape (mainframe and AS/400 systems, CSV transfers) and required near–real-time integration. XTIVIA was engaged to design an integration solution and used TIBCO-based SOA and BI technologies to meet these requirements.

XTIVIA implemented a near–real-time integration using a VEST (Validation, Enrichment, Standardization & Transformation) approach, reusable BusinessWorks templates, common SOA services (notification, exception handling, transaction logging) and TIBCO EMS as the messaging backbone; interfaces included Pick Ticket, Trailer Close and Zero Picks. The XTIVIA solution delivered faster eCommerce fulfillment, improved delivery efficiency, better visibility into order status, the ability to consolidate in-store eCommerce packing with regular DC shipments, and scalable capacity for increased order volume.
