The Fortune 500 Information Technology Corporation needed a customer and partner portal for its managed services platform so telecom and networking customers could monitor network status and submit service requests into its ITIL-based incident and change management system. The portal also had to support partners reselling the service, but slow backend web services made interactive dashboards and real-time charts difficult.

Xtivia implemented a highly performant Liferay-based portal using a single-page application architecture, plus an ETL process to cache and aggregate ticketing data for fast heat maps and geographic charts. Xtivia also added reusable templates and theming for onboarding new partners and built the solution on a service-oriented architecture to support mobile apps; the result was a responsive portal that improved self-service, enabled partners and agents to view the experience as customers do, and overcame the original performance bottlenecks.
