Data Warehouse Company, a leading privately held grocery supermarket chain operating more than 300 stores, needed near real-time insight from its point-of-sale data. Its nightly batch uploads into the enterprise data warehouse were causing 24-hour-plus delays, unreliable reports, and failed or incomplete loads, creating major challenges for store operations and decision-making. Xtivia designed and deployed a fault-tolerant, load-balanced solution that enabled near real-time data delivery, reprocessing from the point of failure, and enterprise-wide monitoring and failover. The result was sales data available within about 60 minutes, 99.9% uptime, end-to-end transaction performance of 10–20 minutes, and reduced IT effort through automated feeds and elimination of manual batch processing.
