BICYCLE WORLD, a rapidly growing seven-store bicycle retail chain, needed accurate, integrated sales, inventory and wage information and a rapid reporting dashboard to manage daily operations and improve profitability. XTIVIA was engaged to deliver a quick, scalable BI solution using Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) to consolidate POS data and provide KPI and operational reporting.

XTIVIA implemented a dimensional data warehouse, daily ETL/metadata checks, and a web-enabled, click-through Dashboard Portal with parameter-driven reports and integrated views of Sales, Wage Expenses and Inventory. The first production release delivered 20 reports and charts in about two months (280 hours), giving management single-page daily KPIs, meeting urgent BI needs and providing a scalable architecture for future expansion.
