Twitch, the San Francisco–based livestreaming platform, needed a partner to expand payment options beyond PayPal and major credit cards to reach an underserved global audience and reduce non-U.S. transaction costs. Xsolla (using products like Pay Station and Anti-fraud) was chosen to address gaps in localized payment methods, subscription handling and post-acquisition requirements such as branded email notifications.
Xsolla implemented a multi‑phase integration that enabled smart‑routing across 700+ localized payment methods, added 20+ new options from user feedback, delivered a subscriptions API and a white‑label storefront, and rolled out recurring payments and gift‑subscription features. The results: within two weeks of launch credit card payments routed through Xsolla were 20% more successful, and Xsolla continues working with Twitch and Amazon to expand payment and subscription capabilities.
