PUBG, developed by PUBG Corporation, needed more pre-order options and top-tier fraud protection when it launched into early access in 2017 — mainstream platforms didn’t offer the reach or payment flexibility the team wanted. To solve this, PUBG partnered with Xsolla and adopted Xsolla’s pre-order/payment/store and anti-fraud solutions to enable direct sales outside traditional storefronts.
Xsolla completed integration with a single day of coordination (pre-order setup could be live in 5–10 minutes) and enabled localized alternative payment methods, region-locked keys, a self-updating fraud algorithm, 24/7 dispute review, VAT handling, and a customizable sales widget. The result: a dramatically expanded global footprint, higher pre-order conversion and user acquisition, continued support through PC and mobile launches, and measurable impact as PUBG set global records for sales and earnings and reached 3 million concurrent players.
