Kennametal’s journey to building a global unified rewards strategy

Kennametal, a global industrial technology leader with about 8,600 employees across five continents, needed a better way to run employee rewards and recognition at scale. The company wanted a program that was easy to use, locally relevant, customizable to different regions and currencies, and seamlessly integrated with SAP SuccessFactors. Xoxoday’s Rewards and Incentives platform was chosen to help solve these challenges.

Xoxoday implemented a unified, global rewards platform with SAP SuccessFactors integration, single sign-on, multilingual support, and multi-currency capabilities, while also enabling locally relevant rewards and translations. The result was 13,000 reward transactions from May 2021 to January 2022, averaging about 3,000 per month, with employees appreciating the flexibility to redeem vouchers for everyday needs. Kennametal is now expanding the program further with milestone awards, anniversaries, internal contests, and goal-linked incentives.
