Xometry, a 'Supply Chain Powerhouse,' Sources Critical Components for Nexa3D's Ultrafast XiP Desktop 3D Printer

Nexa3D, a fast-growing additive manufacturing company, needed a manufacturing partner to bring its ultrafast XiP desktop 3D printer to market — a product designed to bridge the “Additive Manufacturing Gap” between consumer and production printers. Nexa3D worked with Xometry, leveraging Xometry’s CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal cutting, metal extrusion, assembly services and Instant Quoting Engine, plus its subject-matter experts, to source the diverse parts and guide the product development process.

Xometry supplied injection‑molded components, CNC and sheet‑metal parts, extrusions and assembly support, helping Nexa3D ship the XiP on schedule with production-grade features (4.8 L build volume, up to 18 cm/hr print speed, modular 9.3" 4K LCD mask rated 3,000 hours). Xometry’s sourcing, rapid quoting and QA/QC expertise reduced lead times and costs versus Nexa3D’s prior networks, enabled more sustainable design choices (aluminum enclosure and Xometry‑produced sheet metal), and tied into Xometry’s Go Green program (nearly 6 million lbs of carbon offsets to date) to further lower the product’s environmental impact.
