Case Study: Office Pup brings a lifelike, lovable robot dog to offices with Xometry

A Xometry Case Study

Preview of the Office Pup Case Study

This start-up is giving Corporate America a dog that is loyal, yet hassle-free. They came to Xometry to make it happen

Office Pup set out to bring real-dog comfort to corporate offices by designing DogX, a robot dog that looks, feels, and behaves like a real puppy. To meet tight tolerances and lifelike materials, Office Pup partnered with Xometry and used Xometry’s custom manufacturing platform and services (CNC machining, 3D printing, injection molding, and urethane casting).

Xometry manufactured DogX’s components—CNC-machined titanium skeleton, PTFE-impregnated acetal ball joints, HP Multi Jet Fusion nylon nose, SLS-printed tail, PolyJet elastomeric fur, injection-molded eyes, and urethane paw pads—delivering a durable, flexible robot that can survive falls and mimic organic motions. The result was a convincing, low-maintenance office companion that increased daily focus by 20% and overall workplace satisfaction by 30%, with Office Pup planning to continue working with Xometry.
