PT&R Becomes the Second Manufacturing Partner to Reach $1 Million in Xometry Revenue

PT&R Manufacturing, a San Jose, CA machine shop founded by Hang Pham and Hung Nguyen, faced the common startup challenge of building a customer base through slow, time-consuming personal networks. In 2016 they discovered Xometry’s job board/marketplace, which they used to find and bid on work more efficiently; the Xometry platform’s pricing and lead-time transparency helped them quickly identify suitable jobs and scale beyond their initial semiconductor focus.

Using Xometry, PT&R gained a steady stream of jobs, reduced administrative back-and-forth, and diversified into aerospace and other industries—Xometry became 20–30% of their business. The partnership helped PT&R grow to a 10,000 sq ft shop with about 15 employees, achieve ISO certification, and become the second Xometry manufacturing partner to reach $1 million in Xometry revenue (and the first to do so in under one year), with plans to pursue AS9100 and further expansion.
