MacDonald-Miller, a full-service design-build mechanical contractor with more than 1,000 employees and 100 service technicians, wanted to improve mobility and collaboration in the field. As a leader in the Pacific Northwest, the company needed a better way to help technicians communicate with customers and each other, especially for work that is often hidden behind walls or in hard-to-see locations.

MacDonald-Miller partnered with XOi Technologies to launch “See,” a visual communications solution that connects smart glasses, photos, and video to customer accounts through MobileTech. Technicians now capture before-and-after job videos and images that are automatically stored in the cloud and shared with customers through call summary reports. The result has been stronger customer engagement, faster bill approvals, fewer disputes, reduced overhead, and new business wins, including a major national account secured within 90 days of rollout.
