Franklin American Mortgage Company - Customer Case Study

Franklin American Mortgage Company (FAMC) is a privately held mortgage‑banking firm based in Franklin, Tennessee. With its BellSouth voice contract expiring, FAMC needed a more flexible, resilient voice and data solution to protect incoming DID phone service from circuit congestion or failure at its Franklin and Irving locations and to allow shared lines for thousands of faxes. FAMC engaged XO Communications and deployed XO Multi‑Market Inbound PRI and XO Burstable DS3 (DIA) services.

XO Communications delivered MMIPRI to create local presence and automated failover routing between Franklin and Irving, and Burstable DS3 (DIA) to provide up to 45 Mbps on demand while lowering recurring fees. The result was improved disaster recovery and national IP network reliability, roughly 50% lower local and long‑distance costs compared with the prior service, and cost‑effective bandwidth bursting and call routing that met FAMC’s business continuity needs.
