John A. Logan College, led by Dean for Financial Operations Stacy Buckingham, was struggling to manage its modified zero-based budgeting process in Excel. With 60 budget officers, the college found it difficult to collect justifications, preserve historical data, move budgets through approvals, and maintain version control. After two difficult budget cycles, the college looked to XLerant and its cloud-based budgeting solution to replace the spreadsheet-based process.
