Bunker Hill Community College - Customer Case Study

Bunker Hill Community College, the largest community college in Massachusetts, was struggling to manage a growing, multi-campus budget with Excel spreadsheets and wanted a simpler, more user-friendly way to handle budgeting. The college chose XLerant’s BudgetPak to replace cumbersome spreadsheet-based planning and reduce IT dependence.

XLerant implemented BudgetPak with minimal disruption and strong support, including setup, training, and a simple integration with Datatel GL. The results were significant: 40 users adopted the system, the budget process became twice as effective and twice as easy, reporting and approval improved, and FY11 actual expenditures came within 0.6% of budget.
