University of Amsterdam chooses Xillio for the migration of legacy CMS to Hippo for online platform

The University of Amsterdam (UvA) faced the challenge of migrating approximately 200,000 documents from a legacy Coldfusion-based CMS to a new Hippo CMS while simultaneously restructuring its website for a more uniform design and improved user experience. To solve this, the university enlisted the specialist content migration services of vendor Xillio.

Using its automated tools and a specialized Hippo connector, Xillio extracted, cleaned, and enriched the content with accurate metadata based on UvA's business rules. The result was a successful implementation of the new online platform, which provided UvA with the right tools to better inform and engage its students and teachers for the future.
