Municipality of Middelburg Secures Document Management System Content in Migration to Zeeland Archives

The Municipality of Middelburg faced the challenge of migrating nearly 120,000 archived cases from an end-of-life Alfresco-based system to the Zeeuws Archief. Under significant time pressure to secure the content, they enlisted the migration services of Xillio to ensure the data was transferred reliably and on schedule.

Xillio implemented an end-to-end solution, using its Alfresco connector for extraction and its transformation platform to convert metadata for the target system, Preservica. The solution successfully migrated all 458,000 files as planned. Despite unforeseen technical issues, the project was completed successfully, securing the municipality's documents and earning high praise for Xillio's expertise.
