Jackson State University Migrates Erp Content to The Cloud

Jackson State University faced the challenge of migrating a high volume of content from its on-premises Documentum AppXtender DMS to its cloud-based Ellucian Banner ERP system. The legacy system was end-of-life, creating management overhead and downtime risks, while forcing employees to inefficiently search two separate systems for documents. The university enlisted the specialist services of Xillio to manage this complex data extraction and preparation.

Xillio implemented a solution that involved extracting the documents and metadata from AppXtender into its own UDM format for analysis. The team then transformed the data and created the necessary CSV import packages for the Ellucian system. All work was completed securely on a server within JSU's environment within a demanding three-month timeframe. The result, achieved through Xillio's managed process, is that all ERP content is now centrally available in the cloud, saving employees a significant amount of time.
