Dutch Government Institute Speeds to Their New Ecm System Thanks to Controlled Migration

The Dutch government faced the challenge of consolidating 16 separate departmental websites, each with its own content management system and editorial process, into one unified platform, Government.nl. To achieve this, they enlisted the vendor Xillio and its Content ETL Platform to manage the complex automated content migration.

Xillio implemented a solution that involved mapping all content types, enriching and cleaning the metadata, and converting the content into the required format for the new Hippo CMS. The result was a successful, large-scale migration of cleaned and valuable content directly into the live environment, replacing a fragmented web presence with a single, cohesive government site.
