CROP accountants & consultants, an accounting firm, faced the challenge of a fragmented content environment with documents spread across various legacy databases and network drives. This lack of a uniform structure hampered collaboration and created security risks. To centralize and improve control over its documents, CROP partnered with vendor Xillio to migrate all of its content to the M-Files document management system.

Xillio utilized its Xillio Insights analysis tool to perform a complete content inventory, identifying duplicates and mapping the structure. They then extracted, deduplicated, and transformed the content, creating business rules to import it into M-Files. The result for CROP was a centralized, structured storage system that significantly improved document control, facilitated access management and governance, and enabled more efficient collaboration among its staff.
