Adgillus, VOF — founded by Lammertjan Dam, PhD — built the Tealeaf Stocks Prediction mobile app to deliver fundamental, econometrics‑based stock return forecasts up to five years ahead. To power those models the team needed reliable global historical equity prices and interest‑rate data across U.S. and major European markets, but found traditional vendors too costly or technically onerous for a small startup (many required running and maintaining their own servers).

Adgillus integrated Xignite’s market data cloud, using the XigniteGlobalHistorical API for long historical time series and broad exchange coverage. The cloud APIs were easy to use, subscription costs were tailored and competitive, and integration was fast, letting the team avoid self‑hosting. Tealeaf launched to positive uptake — the beta was downloaded nearly 12,000 times from Google Play — and Adgillus is expanding iOS support and adding markets and features powered by Xignite data.
