Pearson Streamlines Management of Employee Files

Pearson Education, the world’s learning company, struggled with hard-copy employee records stored in file cabinets across international offices, making retrieval slow, insecure, and difficult to manage for compliance. To address these challenges, Pearson turned to Xerox DocuShare, implementing the DocuShare Private Cloud Service to replace paper-based HR records with a centralized digital system.

Xerox DocuShare set up a hosted private-cloud repository and a scanning infrastructure with multifunction printers and scan cover sheets so staff could digitize files into a single indexed system. Thousands of employee files were converted and become searchable by name or employee ID, permissions protect sensitive records, and Pearson achieved a return on investment far exceeding expectations through lower paper storage costs and much faster HR workflows.
