Bryn Aarflot, Norway’s leading intellectual property consultancy, was hampered by paper-based processes and an inadequate SQL database that lacked searchable document content, version control, audit history and reliable remote access. The growing volume of content (rapidly exceeding 50 GB) slowed performance and made it hard for staff to find customer information quickly, hurting productivity and client service. To solve this, Bryn Aarflot chose Xerox DocuShare CPX as its central content management system, integrated with its PatraWin IP management application.

Xerox DocuShare was deployed (with integration by partner Aladdin Software) to capture, store and manage customer documents and to build a searchable knowledge repository accessible via the PatraWin interface. The solution let employees locate the right document almost instantly instead of waiting up to 30 minutes to retrieve paper files, improved document lifecycle control and permissions management, enabled secure off‑site access, and accelerated knowledge‑sharing across departments—delivering measurable gains in response time, productivity and client service.
