Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, which serves five towns in Wales, needed a way to keep operations running during COVID-19 as staff moved to remote working. The council faced communication delays with customers and needed a secure way to handle inbound and outbound documents. Xerox DocuShare, through its DocuShare Flex offering, addressed these challenges.
Xerox DocuShare implemented a digital mailroom in less than 10 days, sorting, scanning, indexing, and securely managing inbound mail from an ISO-accredited center while giving remote staff cloud access to documents. The solution also enabled searchable, shareable digital files and outbound printing or mailing, helping Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council continue internal and customer communications securely. The council reported improved accessibility and security for documents, with the new system adopted quickly across the organization.
