Case Study: Gilmore Doculink achieves error-free airline map production with Xerox FreeFlow Process Manager

A Xerox Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Gilmore Doculink Case Study

With Xerox® FreeFlow Process Manager® this printer and their client can both stay focused on their core business

Gilmore Doculink, an operating unit of R. E. Gilmore Investments Corporation in Ottawa, needed a reliable way to produce and fulfill updated airport landing-field maps for a major airline service provider. The work involved thousands of map pages in both A4 and A5 formats, and the company needed to reduce the risk of human error while handling hundreds to 1,000 files per week. Xerox Corporation’s FreeFlow Process Manager® was introduced as the automation solution.

Xerox Corporation implemented FreeFlow Process Manager® with Manifest Automation from Xerox® (MAX) to barcode and verify documents, automate repetitive prepress and production steps, and route jobs to the correct printer automatically. The result was expanded print capability with existing staff, standardized workflows across Xerox and non-Xerox equipment, and millions of pages printed over three years with zero printing errors. Gilmore Doculink also reported faster production—sometimes within minutes of receiving a job—and no printing errors on the airline project for three years.
