A Xerox Corporation Case Study
Wartburg College, a higher education institution, faced a serious challenge when the sole operator of its in-plant print facility fell ill during the busiest time of year. Xerox Corporation stepped in with temporary staffing support and then worked with the college to address deeper issues in its print operations, including workflow inefficiencies, limited equipment awareness, and a lack of documented processes.
Xerox Corporation reconfigured the print center layout, helped implement third-party Print Shop Pro software, adjusted pricing, and created a process manual to improve day-to-day operations. The result was uninterrupted print service for more than 1,660 students and better support for faculty and staff, along with a more efficient workflow, greater equipment expertise, more accurate pricing, and increased volume and variety of in-house and external print jobs.
