Preview of the Printedge Case Study

Unleashing potential with quality, not just quantity the Xerox® iGen® 5 Press

Printedge, a Knoxville-based production printer founded in 1976, focuses on innovative, high-quality applications for customers in markets such as education, healthcare, restaurants, and real estate. To keep growing without sacrificing quality or uptime, the company needed a reliable digital production press that could deliver outstanding print quality, support a wide range of applications, and help maintain its reputation for producing unique work rather than commodity print. Xerox Corporation addressed this need with the Xerox® iGen® 5 Press.

Xerox Corporation implemented the Xerox® iGen® 5 Press, giving Printedge the fifth print station for extended gamut color matching, including PANTONE® 151, plus the option for Clear Dry Ink and the ability to print on larger, thicker stocks. The result was improved efficiency by eliminating short-run offset work for brand-color matching, increased margins and revenue from added-value applications, and new offerings such as packaging, oversized collateral, and ultra-thick business cards. Printedge also benefited from strong uptime, with downtime so rare that service was typically on-site within four hours.
