A Xerox Corporation Case Study
The University of Edinburgh, a large higher education institution with more than 35,000 students and 12,000 staff across 150+ locations, needed to modernize an aging print environment that could no longer support mobile, cloud, and scanning expectations. Working with Xerox Corporation, the university sought a more capable and manageable print service for its complex, distributed campus.
Xerox Corporation implemented a managed print service called SelectPrint, replacing 300 legacy multifunction devices with network-ready devices integrated into the university’s existing print management environment. The solution added mobile print, scan-to-email, cloud printing, automated meter reading, and automated toner replenishment, cutting administration time and improving sustainability; take-up grew by more than 100% in two years, and the service expanded from about 300 devices to nearly 700.
