A Xerox Corporation Case Study
Tuskegee University, a large education institution with 1,100 employees and 3,200 students, was struggling to manage a mixed fleet of non-networked printers across campus while operating with limited IT resources. With only two staff supporting the environment, the university needed a better way to control printing costs and free its team to focus on helping users. Xerox Corporation provided Managed Print Services to assess the environment and identify opportunities for improvement.
Xerox Corporation centralized and managed Tuskegee’s print infrastructure, redeployed existing devices, and added multifunction printers and features such as secure print, digital signatures, and Follow-You Printing. The result was a simplified environment, improved budgeting and reporting, and about $10,000 in monthly savings—roughly $120,000 per year—while enabling Tuskegee to bill departments more accurately and redeploy IT staff to higher-value work.
