Lincoln Public Schools, the second-largest district in Nebraska with more than 34,000 students across 60+ schools, needed to replace outdated printers and copiers while also improving document management across the district. The district wanted a cost-effective, sustainable solution that would be easy for teachers, students, and staff to use, and turned to Xerox Corporation for help with an enterprise-wide document strategy.

Xerox Corporation implemented a district-wide solution that included multifunction devices, Xerox® Enterprise Print Services, onsite DocuCare support, a centralized print center, remote scanning and web submission, and Xerox® DocuShare® for content management. The results included reducing document devices by over 50%, consolidating vendors from five to one, moving about 70% of documents to the print center with guaranteed overnight turnaround, and lowering costs, paper use, energy consumption, and waste while improving support for teaching and learning.
