System Graphic, a family-run commercial printer near Rome, needed a more flexible way to handle demanding, highly regulated airline documentation jobs. Their work required frequent integrity checks, lightweight paper, fast turnaround, and the ability to manage highly variable weekly volumes of 5,000 to 20,000 pages in mixed formats. To better serve this customer and improve production efficiency, they looked to Xerox Corporation and its inkjet technology, including the Xerox® Impika® Compact Inkjet Press.

Xerox Corporation helped System Graphic add inkjet to its mix of offset and digital printing, giving them the right production technology for each job. The Impika Compact press, paired with Xerox® FreeFlow® Print Server, improved PDF processing, RIPing, workflow consistency, and speed, while the high-density inks reduced show-through and supported strong print quality on lightweight paper. As a result, System Graphic shortened turnaround times, reduced job handling effort, improved bottom-line profitability, and expanded its ability to produce a wider range of books and catalogs across different run lengths.
