Stonehill College optimizes its printing infrastructure with help from a long-term strategic partner

Stonehill College, a four-year Catholic college in Easton, MA, needed to optimize and standardize its enterprise printing infrastructure. Facing a mix of desktop printers and copiers from multiple vendors, the college wanted to reduce costs, improve efficiency, support new UNIX-based administrative software, and eliminate legacy “green bar” printing. It turned to Xerox Corporation, its long-term strategic document management partner, for help.

Xerox Corporation implemented a Xerox® Office Productivity Assessment and Sustainability Calculator, then deployed 65 networked multifunction systems, scan-to-email capabilities, a web portal for online job submissions, and a DocuTech® Production Publisher. The new solution simplified management, improved uptime, increased digital workflows, and cut monthly costs by thousands of dollars. Printing on Xerox equipment rose sharply, color pages tripled, black-and-white pages increased by more than 70%, and Stonehill reduced paper and energy use while eliminating the need for legacy wide-format printers.
