St. Mary’s University needed a more personalized way to recruit prospective students and expand beyond its traditional marketing reach. Working with Xerox Corporation and Cathedral Corporation, the university set out to create a direct mail campaign that could segment messages by gender, residency, field of study, and interests such as athletics, community service, or leadership, using Xerox® ProfitAccelerator® resources and related production tools.
Xerox Corporation helped deliver the solution through Cathedral Corporation’s design and production workflow, using the Xerox iGen3® 110 Digital Production Press with FreeFlow® Print Server and Solimar® Print Director™. The personalized campaign became St. Mary’s most successful direct mail piece ever, increasing the inquiry pool by 40% and helping produce a record freshman class from eight states, the District of Columbia, and 15 foreign countries.
