A Xerox Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Seminole County Case Study

Seminole County reduces make-ready time by 85% and internal costs by 22%

Seminole County’s Board of County Commissioners Printing Division wanted to be an all-digital shop, but it was using mixed brands of equipment that couldn’t communicate well, were on different leases, and made it hard to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve service. Xerox Corporation helped the county move toward a centralized, redundant production environment with digital printers and workflow software, including Xerox FreeFlow Web Services and other FreeFlow tools.

Xerox Corporation implemented an end-to-end solution built around Xerox Nuvera 120 EA, Xerox 4595, and Xerox DocuColor 242 devices, along with FreeFlow Output Manager, FreeFlow Makeready, and a customized Web-to-Print workflow. The result was dramatically faster production: make-ready time dropped by 85%, turnaround shifted from three days to same-day in many cases, internal costs fell by 22%, and the county estimated annual savings of $64,000. User adoption also jumped from 80 to 400, while the print shop expanded its capabilities and improved quality and convenience for customers.
