School District’s Print Volume is Poised for 700% Growth in Student Population

Frisco Independent School District, one of the fastest-growing school districts in the U.S., faced a significant challenge when it consolidated printing from individual campuses into a central Print Center. This move, combined with immense student population growth, led to a 700% increase in print demand. The district needed a solution that could scale without sacrificing output quality or speed while also helping to strategically plan for future facilities and equipment needs to handle this tremendous growth.

Xerox implemented a comprehensive and flexible print solution for the district, which included Nuvera monochrome printers and Color 1000 Presses, integrated with FreeFlow software for automated workflow management. This solution provided online job submission, in-line finishing, and versatile printing capabilities. The results were substantial, including projected cost savings of $1.7 million, the ability to handle 8 million monthly black-and-white impressions (up from 1 million), and a fully integrated workflow that saved teachers time. Xerox's partnership allowed the Print Center to keep pace with the district's explosive growth while maintaining high quality and enabling strategic planning for the future.
