A Xerox Corporation Case Study
The School District of Pittsburgh, one of the largest school systems in Pennsylvania, faced shrinking enrollment, rising costs, and a $38 million deficit, forcing leaders to rethink how resources were spent. To reduce print-related expenses and support a more digital learning environment, the district turned to Xerox Corporation and its Managed Print Services.
Xerox Corporation centralized the district’s print environment by consolidating contracts and managing 500 new multifunction devices on a cost-per-copy basis, with plans to extend management to 500 more existing printers. The result was an annual savings of about $1.1 million to $1.4 million, an 80% reduction in printing infrastructure, less paper usage, freed-up IT staff time, and a more scalable, efficient, and sustainable print environment.
