Case Study: Department for Works and Pensions saves £15m with Xerox Sustainable Print Service

A Xerox Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Department for Works and Pensions Case Study

Saving millions when sustainable office print rationalisation is done right

The Department for Works and Pensions (DWP) needed to modernize its aging, poorly managed print environment across more than 1,000 offices. With over 30,000 devices, limited visibility into costs, and growing pressure to reduce both spending and environmental impact, DWP turned to Xerox Corporation and its Xerox Sustainable Print Service / managed print service offering.

Xerox Corporation implemented a department-wide, utility-style managed print service with change management, training, device rationalization, and detailed reporting. The rollout cut DWP’s device count by 62% to 8,300, reduced paper use by 14% (saving 147 million sheets a year), lowered print-related power consumption by around 60%, and reduced engineer callouts by 78%, helping DWP save £15 million over five years.
