SAG-AFTRA, the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, needed a faster and more accurate way to process millions of residual checks and matching statements each year. Xerox Corporation helped address the challenge with an automated production and integrity system to replace a manual process that had become too slow, labor-intensive, and error-prone.

Xerox Corporation customized two Xerox Nuvera® 288 Production Systems with integrated cameras and software to read checks and statements, detect mismatches, and keep workflow moving without stopping the machines. The result was a twofold increase in processing speed, turnaround time cut from 60 days to 30 days, capacity for about 3.5 million checks per year, and annual savings in the tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
