Revolutionary book application boosts business 30% in just two months

Easy Print, a digital printing company in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, faced a sharp slowdown in business in early 2011 as political unrest reduced tourism and the print jobs tied to it. To create new demand, the company decided to develop a distinctive photo book, Power to the People, that would showcase the revolution and help differentiate its short-run digital book printing offering. Xerox Corporation’s digital printing technologies supported the project.

Xerox Corporation helped Easy Print produce the book using a Xerox 700 Digital Color Press with a CX Print Server powered by Creo, along with Xerox Colotech Supergloss paper. Easy Print added QR codes to each featured photo, linking to related online media, and sold 700 copies within two months of launch. The campaign also drove a 30% increase in customers over the same period and opened the door to new opportunities with travel industry clients and personalized photo-book offerings.
