Thompson Health, a healthcare provider in Canandaigua, New York, needed to cut office printing costs, improve efficiency, and maintain strong security and sustainability standards while keeping staff focused on patient care. After reviewing bids, the hospital chose Xerox Corporation and its Xerox Print Services managed print offering to help gain visibility into print spending and modernize its office print environment.
Xerox Corporation assessed Thompson Health’s print environment, documented device-level costs, consolidated outdated printers into more efficient multifunction systems, added scanning and secure document workflows, and trained staff across the hospital. The results were significant: printing costs dropped from about 20–25 cents per page to under a penny per page, saving more than $5,000 per month, while also streamlining records management, supporting regulatory compliance, reducing energy and consumables use, and freeing staff to spend more time on patient care.
