Print & Graphics Scholarship Foundation - Customer Case Study

Print & Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) needed a way to make its annual directory of graphic communications and printing schools more engaging for students. Previously produced on a toner-based press, the black-and-white, small-format book lacked the color, scale, and visual appeal needed to inspire aspiring print professionals. Xerox Corporation worked with PGSF to explore a more impactful print solution using its production printing technology.

Xerox Corporation implemented a hybrid approach with the Xerox® Rialto® 900 Inkjet Press for the inside pages and the Xerox® Color 1000i Press for metallic gold-ink covers. The redesigned directory became a colorful, larger, dual-purpose marketing piece that cost three times less to produce than the previous version, doubled the print run, and generated 600 additional orders. The improved design also prompted strong reactions from schools and expanded PGSF’s reach across more educational institutions.
