A Xerox Corporation Case Study
The City of Dallas, one of the largest U.S. cities and a leader in sustainability, needed to simplify a costly, hard-to-manage document infrastructure spread across hundreds of facilities. The city was dealing with more than 1,000 devices from multiple manufacturers, over 400 monthly bills, slow service response times, and heavy reliance on paper. Xerox Corporation was brought in to help modernize and green the city’s document management environment.
Xerox Corporation replaced the scattered fleet with 524 energy-efficient multifunction devices, added on-site service, supplies, and support, and implemented enterprise-wide two-sided printing, digital faxing, and change management training. The result was a single monthly invoice, significantly lower costs, improved uptime and service response, and better productivity for city employees. Xerox also helped Dallas reduce energy use and paper waste, supporting the city’s Green Dallas sustainability goals.
