Ithaca College Print Shop Ups Volume and Quality

Ithaca College Print Shop, serving about 5,500 students and 1,200 faculty with a staff of nine, needed to keep up with rising demand for color printing, faster turnaround, and high quality—without sacrificing accuracy or environmental goals. Its offset press and HP Indigo digital press could no longer handle the workload efficiently, so the shop turned to Xerox digital color solutions, including the Xerox iGen3 Digital Color Press.

Xerox implemented an iGen3 Digital Color Press, later adding a second iGen3 with inline finishing and a Xerox DocuColor 250 Color Printer, streamlining the workflow and reducing make-ready and finishing time. The result was a major boost in productivity: jobs that once took a week on offset could be completed in two to three days, helping the shop keep more work in-house, take on more volume, and better support campus needs.
